Bermudiana Road will be closed to traffic later this week as repaving work is carried out.

The street is scheduled to be closed to all vehicles between Gorham Road and Church Street from 6am on Wednesday until 6pm on Friday.

A police spokesman said: “Traffic travelling north on Bermudiana Road will be diverted on to Gorham Road. Diversion signs and barriers will be in place.

“The junction at the Esso City Tigermarket will remain open to traffic from Richmond Road, Par-la-Ville Road and Church Street.

“In addition, buses entering the City of Hamilton from Crow Lane and Cavendish Road will be diverted along Front Street as far as Court Street, before travelling north on Court Street to Victoria Street, where they will turn left and travel along Victoria Street to reach the City of Hamilton bus terminal.”
