Samuelsson on site for book signing
Celebrity chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson will be taking part in a book signing at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess tomorrow.
Mr Samuelsson, who opened his new restaurant, Marcus’, at the hotel, will be signing his new book “Make it Messy: My Perfectly Imperfect Life”, along with his cookbook “Marcus Off Duty: The Recipes I Cook at Home”.
The new book is based on his memoir, “Yes, Chef!” and is geared towards young adults, detailing his life and culinary journey.
Meanwhile, “The Recipes I Cook at Home” was published last October, boasting a host of recipes and photos of the chef’s favourite dishes.
Mr Samuelsson said: “I always look forward to visiting and getting the opportunity to meet the people of Bermuda. I’m especially excited to be on the Island for the release of my new book, ‘Make it Messy: My Perfectly Imperfect Life’.
“As with my previous books, this one is personal and close to my heart. I recommend it for any young person interested in pursuing a culinary career and, more generally, for young people still figuring out their path in life. I hope that my story can empower young people to embrace their mistakes and to follow their dreams, no matter what their aspirations may be.”
Hotel general manager Allan Federer said: “Marcus’ has been well received and we are thrilled to offer the public the opportunity to meet Marcus Samuelsson, who is spearheading our new restaurant. I encourage his fans to join us for a chance to meet Marcus and get a copy of his new book, signed by the chef.”
The signing is scheduled to take place between 5pm and 6pm in the hotel courtyard outside of the new restaurant, and copies of both books will be available for sale.
