Bermuda Tourism Authority head Bill Hanbury received a “guaranteed” bonus for his first year in office — but Tourism Minister Shawn Crockwell has said the amount awarded was confidential.
Shadow Minister Zane DeSilva told the House of Assembly that Mr Hanbury had been paid $100,000, but Mr Crockwell said he could not confirm that figure.
The specific terms of incentives paid to staff at the BTA were private and could not be revealed, the minister said in response to parliamentary questions from Mr DeSilva.
However, Mr Crockwell invited the shadow minister to make a Public Access to Information request on the issue.
