An organisation for gifted and talented students is sending 18 students to a summer programme at Johns Hopkins University.

The Center for Talented Youth Bermuda, which is affiliated with the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, aims to create an environment where students can “just be themselves”, as well as helping them learn topics they might not otherwise get to know.

It hopes to help the young people become better writers, stronger critical thinkers, able scientists and more inquisitive researchers.

A press release from CTY Bermuda notes that the Johns Hopkins programme has had “a profound and lasting effect on countless bright young people from across the country and around the world”.
