Jason Hayward, president of the Bermuda Public Services Union, will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Labour Day Banquet at the Fairmont Southampton.

“Leadership by example” will be the theme of Mr Hayward’s speech at the event on Friday, September 4.

Labour Day activities will begin at 8am on Monday, September 7, with the Swan’s Running Club Annual Children’s Race and Walk sponsored by Lahey Clinic.

Prior to the annual Labour Day march, which will leave from BIU headquarters at 11.30am, Bermuda’s trade union leaders will present Labour Day greetings. The Community Services Federation will give free health screenings during the morning.
