Docs to Dinner event this week
Doctors Edward Shultz and Andrea McKee have been announced as the speakers at the next Docs for Dinner event organised by the Bermuda Healthcare Services and Brown-Darrell Clinic.
The quarterly event is due to take place on Thursday, September 24, at Café Lido.
More than 30 doctors are expected to attend the presentation and receive two Continuing Medical Education credits.
Dr Edward Schultz is the Chief of Emergency Services and Hyperbaric Medicine at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) as well as the EMS Medical Director for Bermuda’s Integrated Ambulance Service.
He will be speaking on “The Evolution of Emergency Medicine: Trends and Challenges in the 21st Century.”
Dr Andrea McKee is the chairman of the Departments of Radiation Oncology at Lahey Hospital and Medical Centre Burlington and Lahey Medial Centre Peabody.
She will speak on the topics “CT Lung Screening Program Implementation: The Critical Role of Primary Care” and “Intraoperative Radiation Therapy for Breast Cancer: Opportunities for Improved Outcomes Through Technological Advances and Early Detection.”
Registration and cocktails will begin at 6.30pm, dinner will begin at 7pm, with presentations to follow.
