A 25-year-old Sandys man was shot in his lower extremities in the early hours of this morning.

According to police, his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

A police spokesman said officers responded to gunshots in the area of Nine Beaches, Daniel’s Head, Sandys, at about 2.40am.

“The victim, believed to be a 25-year-old Sandys parish man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment,” he added. “However, his injuries are not considered to be life threatening.”
