CedarBridge to put on popular musical Annie
Students of CedarBridge Academy are to perform the Broadway hit musical Annie on December 4 and 5.
Taking place on campus in the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium, this is the first time the school will perform a full length production accompanied by their own orchestra.
The 15 to 18-year-old students are involved in every aspect of the play. From stage management, to technical assistants, the teenagers have also done much of the choreography.
Two of the supporting roles will be played by teachers, Miss Tona Landy, visual arts instructor, and Dean Minors, instructional leader for physical education and health.
Set in 1933 during the depression, it is the story of an 11-year-old orphan who was left by her parents at the New York Municipal Orphanage with a promissory note of their return and half a silver locket around her neck to match the other half that they kept.
Teachers Patricia Nesbitt and Tiffany Fox have taken on roles as artistic director and musical director respectively.
