A few students at the Bermuda High School suffered minor injuries earlier today when part of the ceiling collapsed in a classroom, according to Linda Parker, the head of school.
The fall occurred during a Year 8 English class, Ms Parker said.
“As the students sat quietly reading their books, part of the ceiling collapsed around them,” Ms Parker said, adding that any injuries to students had been taken care of.
“Obviously, the students and staff were shocked by this incident. Appropriate measures and support services are in place.
“We have notified our insurers and have contractors scheduled to assess and repair the damage, as soon as possible. This classroom will be out of service until repairs are made.”
