After enjoying (or enduring) hairy upper lips for ‘Movember’, Appleby employees have donated $1,455 to the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.
Eleven staff members from the global law firm signed up for the month-long worldwide challenge, in which participants grow moustaches throughout November, although all have since shaved off their whiskers.
The aim of the initiative is to raise money for cancer charities, as well as promoting awareness of the disease in men, aka ‘Mo Bros’.
The money spirited up by Appleby will help the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre with its work in the prevention, detection and support of cancer, as well as other health concerns in the community.
