A tanker had to divert to Bermuda on Thursday evening to drop off a crew member who had suffered a severe cut to his hand.
The injured man from the Energy Conqueror was brought ashore via the pilot boat St George and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance early this morning.
The Isle of Man registered vessel, en route from Le Harve, France, to Port Arthur, Texas, was 180 nm southwest of Bermuda when the decision was made to take the crew member to shore.
