Queen Street in St George will close to traffic starting today so that the Corporation of St George can carry out repairs.

According to a spokeswoman for the corporation, the work will be carried out between Printer’s Alley and Chapel Lane, and will take about three weeks.

“Residents are requested to gain access via Duke of Kent Street while these necessary repairs are being undertaken,” the spokeswoman said.

“The Corporation of St George apologises in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused.

“The public’s patience during this time is greatly appreciated as the corporation continues to make necessary repairs and improvements to the town for future enjoyment.”
