The Ministry of Legal Affairs is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, according to a notice in today’s paper.
The advertisement, in the Classifieds employment section, calls for qualified barristers with at least ten years of experience in criminal law to apply for the post before the January 13 deadline.
The post is now held by Carrington Mahoney.
The notice comes weeks after the Director for Public Prosecutions Rory Field tendered his own resignation “to take a new opportunity”.
Another Deputy Director for the department. The announcement of his resignation has led to renewed calls for a Bermudian to be hired for the position.
