Police investigated reports of “possible gunshots” in the West End on Saturday night.

According to a police spokesman, officers received reports of gunshots in the Nine Beaches/ Long Bay Road area of Sandys just before 10pm.

“Upon police arrival officers did not have any forensic conformation that a firearms incident had taken place, however inquiries into this matter are ongoing,” the spokesman added.

“Police would be interested in speaking with anyone who may have any information on this incident.”
