Brushfire extinguished in Warwick

A brushfire in Warwick was extinguished by the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service this afternoon.
According to spokeswoman Sergeant Russann Francis, “an area of brush approximately 60ft by 30ft that was producing heavy smoke” on Lusher Hill.
At about 2.50pm, the Fire Service responded to the incident with a team of four firefighters, who rapidly extinguished the fire.
“There were no injuries as a result of the fire,” she added.
