Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service extinguished a burning tree near the junction of Point Finger Road and Berry Hill Road early this afternoon.
According to a spokesman, the service responded to a report from Belco of a tree fire a few minutes after noon.
“Upon arrival BFRS personnel in firefighting gear assisted Belco personnel in extinguishing the fire with a booster reel,” the spokesman said.
“The fire was extinguished at 12.30pm with no signs of damage to the pole in question nor any structures around the incident. Traffic flow has since been restored at that junction.”
