Governor George Fergusson and his wife Margaret will host a tea party tomorrow to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday.
Together, they will welcome to Government House around 30 Bermuda residents who were born on the island within a month of the Queen’s day of birth on April 21, 1926.
A tree will be planted to mark the occasion, and at 7.30pm a beacon will be lit in the gardens.
More formal events marking the birthday will take place in June, when by tradition the Queen’s official birthday is held.
