Thirty Bermuda residents born within one month of Queen Elizabeth II toasted her 90th birthday at Government House on Thursday.
Governor George Fergusson and his wife Margaret hosted the tea party, and also unveiled a new plaque for a Washington palm planted by the Queen in 1975.
This was the first of a new set of 150 specially commissioned plaques identifying the historic collection of tree plantings at Government House.
Mr and Mrs Fergusson also attended the lighting of a celebratory beacon on Government House grounds, as part of a chain being lit across Overseas Territories, Crown Dependencies, Commonwealth countries and the UK.
