Corrections Week will launch on Sunday with an 11am service at the Devonshire Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Michael Dunkley, the Premier and Minister of National Security, will deliver opening remarks at the service.
The initiative aims to highlight the work done by corrections officers in the island’s prison facilities, as well as the various community service and outreach programmes undertaken by the department.
Other events next week include a tea for seniors from 2pm on Monday at St Paul’s Anglican Church Hall in Paget, and a children’s party from 4pm on Friday at the Berkeley Institute.
