A 22-year-old woman was taken to hospital this morning after a crash involving her motorcycle and a car.

The collision happened at the junction of Palmetto Road and Railway Terrace at about 8.55am in Pembroke.

A police spokesman said: “It appears that an auxiliary cycle being ridden along Palmetto Road and a car being driven along Railway Terrace collided at the junction.

“The rider, a 22-year-old Devonshire woman, was injured and taken to hospital for treatment. At last check she was in stable condition.

“There were no other injuries reported but both vehicles were damaged. Inquiries were conducted at the scene, with assistance from witnesses.”

He asked anyone who witnessed the crash to call police on 295-0011.
