Those looking to enjoy the Bermuda Day Parade might want to bring an umbrella, as wet weather has been forecast for tomorrow.

According to the Bermuda Weather Service’s public forecast, a few showers are expected throughout the day along with sunny breaks and a chance of thunder.

Meteorologist Jeff Torgerson said this afternoon: “Although there will certainly be periods of fair weather conducive to the enjoyment of all outdoor activities during the holiday, we still expect to see occasional redevelopment of scattered shower activity with the chance of a few heavier showers around isolated thunderstorm development, especially during the morning and again tomorrow night.

“That having been said, tomorrow’s holiday celebrations, including the parade and other public activities throughout the day are expected to see periods of thinning clouds and some blue sky, with occasional shower activity most prevalent in the morning and again at night, and through much of Wednesday.

“We still cannot rule out the possibility of a couple of claps of thunder, but at this time we see no likelihood of organised development of significant winds or heavy, constant rains for Bermuda or our immediate marine area, at least through Tuesday.

“Further to the above, a new high pressure area is forecast to build into the area from the west, beginning Wednesday evening, with fair and dry weather and generally light winds through the end of the week and possibly right through the coming weekend.”
