Work on a badly broken stretch of sidewalk off South Road, Paget, has been delayed.

The Ministry of Public Works advises that repairs to the spot next to the public access to Elbow Beach, due to start tomorrow, have been rearranged to begin on Wednesday.

A lane closure with temporary traffic light control is now scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday while the concrete hardens enough to open to pedestrian traffic. A temporary pedestrian walkway will be provided in the carriageway for pedestrian safety.

According to the ministry, crews will aim to ensure that the road is clear for the morning commuting period on both days, but motorists are warned delays are inevitable.
