A Canadian airline passenger was arrested after she allegedly assaulted police who were removing her from a plane.
According to a police spokeswoman, at around 2pm today officers received a report of an “unruly passenger” on board a WestJet flight bound for Bermuda from Toronto.
“Shortly after the aircraft landed, officers boarded and detained a 28-year-old female Canadian national,” the spokeswoman said.
“The female became aggressive towards police, violently resisting arrest and assaulted three police officers in the process.”
The spokeswoman added that the woman was subsequently detained and is expected to appear before the courts in the near future.
