A local family is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing dog.
The dog, Teddy, was rescued from a Texas shelter and brought to the island on Sunday after a week in transit.
Teddy reportedly wriggled out of his lead on Monday evening on Monday, running into heavy brush in the Abbot’s Cliff area and has not been seen since.
He is described as being timid with people he doesn’t know, and would likely be frightened by shouting or people calling his name.
Anyone who may have spotted Teddy is urged to call Henry Dowling at 296-7296 or 504-7287.
