Event to mark 400-year court anniversary

An event tomorrow afternoon will mark 400 continuous years of sitting of courts in Bermuda, since the Court of General Assize first sat on the June 15, 1616.
Chief Justice Ian Kawaley will preside over the hour-long special sitting, taking place from 3pm at Court 1 in Sessions House, Hamilton.
Judges of the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court will also attend, as will the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia, Donald Lemons, and Sir Dennis Byron, president of the Caribbean Court of Justice.
