Bus kiosk closed ‘until further notice’
The bus kiosk at the Hamilton Bus Terminal on Washington Street has been closed until further notice.
According to a spokesman for the Department of Public Transportation, the temporary closure is the result of an “unusual smell emanating from the second floor of the building”.
“Works and Engineering are trying to resolve the problem,” he said, adding that tickets can be purchased at the ferry terminal or any post office in the interim.
He added: “The DPT apologises for any inconvenience to its valued customers, but noted that work is continuing to rectify the problem.”
An update on the closure will be released when available, added the spokesman.
Meanwhile, DPT has advised that lost items may be collected from DPT offices on Palmetto Road, Devonshire.
Uncollected items will be disposed of Friday, July 15.
