Two open house exhibitions this week will showcase the new designs for L.F. Wade International Airport to the public.

The presentations will be held at Bella Vista Bar & Grill at Port Royal Golf Course tomorrow and Penno’s Wharf in St George’s on Tuesday.

The plans will be on display from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on both days, having been at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute on Saturday and Sunday. A Bermuda Government spokeswoman said: “The new renderings, led by Aecon, show a larger facility designed with sustainability in mind to minimise environmental impact and maximise efficiencies.

“Modern conveniences and especially high-tech services, commonplace in many airports, will enhance the departure and arrivals process, so that the new airport can meet industry quality standards for customer service, security and immigration.”
