For the second time in three months, some new pension applications have not been processed in time for payment.

As with the June delay, a Ministry of Finance spokesman said that the holdup stemmed from the Department of Social Insurance’s temporary office move to Global House in May.

New applicants who submitted their application before May 31, and whose 65th birthday was on or before that date, should contact the Department on 294-9246 if they did not receive their payment on Monday.
