Registration for the Annual Bermuda Tourism Summit has opened in advance of next month’s event

Bermuda Tourism Authority, who are organising the event, said the one-day summit was designed to prompt dialogue concerning trends affecting the tourism industry around the world while simultaneously discussing strategies to improve the tourism industry here.

A spokesman said: “Visiting experts will discuss trade trends around the global vacation rental business, tips for articulating Bermuda’s brand voice and appealing to travellers’ emotions to improve the visitor experience.

“Adam Sacks, founder and president of Tourism Economics, will return for the second consecutive year to provide his macro view of the global economy and what that means for the travel industry.

“Local facilitators include local photographers, the Bermuda Hospitality Institute’s Malika Cartwright and various leaders from the BTA.

“The 2016 summit is designed to prepare the industry for the 2017 calendar year of tourism business and set the table for productive partnerships.”

Premier Michael Dunkley and David Dodwell, the chairman of the BTA, are also set to address the summit at the Hamilton Princess Hotel and Beach Club.

Advance registration for the November 16 event is required and the cost to attend the summit is $35. The registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, refreshments and a networking cocktail reception. Registration and payment can be submitted online. The deadline for registration is November 10.
