Thefts may cause further bus cancellations

It is unclear whether the public bus service will continue to be affected by last night’s thefts at the St George’s Bus Depot.
Ten routes were cancelled this morning after money vaults were stolen overnight from five vehicles, which were also vandalised. The Bermuda Police Service is investigating the matter.
A spokesman from the Department of Public Transportation said that it was assessing how the service will be affected in the immediate future.
Buses appear to be running as usual at the Hamilton Bus Terminal, and several drivers have told The Royal Gazette that they are not aware of any cancellations in tonight’s service.
