Employees at law firm Trott & Duncan gave up their Christmas party to make a donation to 20 families in need. The group contributed more than $1,000 to the First Church of God Table Food Ministry, which provides boxes of food for families in need around the island.

A spokeswoman for the company said: “We felt that, during the Christmas season, it would be a good way of giving back to the community by purchasing a number of boxes to be distributed to some families who could use assistance.

“Normally, at Christmas, we have a staff party held at an off-site venue. However, this year we all decided to forego this type of Christmas party and donate to a worthy cause so that we can assist others to enjoy the holiday season.”
