West End garbage will be collected on Wednesday and Thursday next week, and East End garbage on the following Friday and Saturday.

According to the Department of Waste Management, recycling will be collected on Thursday and Friday, January 5 and 6.

Tynes Bay’s waste treatment facility drop-off will be closed all day on Christmas Day, and open from 9am to noon on Boxing Day and Tuesday next week. On New Year’s Day, it will be open from 1pm to 6pm, and on Monday, January 2, it will be open from 9am to noon.

The Palmetto Road Weigh Bridge, for truckers, will be open between 9am and 2pm on Tuesday next week.
