Police reported a serious bike accident that took place at around 7.40 last night on Harrington Sound Road.

Police officers and first responders were dispatched to the single vehicle crash in Smith’s, near the junction with Broken Hill Road.

The rider, a 37-year-old Paget man, was injured and taken to the hospital via ambulance for treatment. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit in stable condition.

Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the area while police processed the scene.

Inquiries continue and witnesses or anyone who was in the Harrington Sound Road, Broken Hill Road area around 7.40pm on Thursday should contact the main police telephone on 295-0011.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old Hamilton Parish man who was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at the junction of North Shore Road and Store Hill in Smith’s parish on Friday, December 30, remains in stable condition in ICU.
