Trust to hold Scaur clean up
The Bermuda National Trust will be holding a clean up of the Scaur Lodge Nature Reserve in Sandys this weekend.
The project, which takes places from 8.30am to 1pm on Saturday, is being spearheaded by the Trust’s volunteer group Another National Trust Service.
They will be helped by tree surgeons from Horsfield Landscape and Design to clear invasive plants and trees from the reserve and open trails.
“This is the third project carried out by ANTS this year,” Bill Zuill, the National Trust’s executive director said. “It is a great way to spend some time and get some exercise in the open air while making a nature reserve a little more accessible.
“We welcome all ages and skill levels. If you like spending time outdoors helping the environment, then this is for you.”
Anyone interested in taking part should wear working clothes and protective shoes, and bring gloves.
