A 46-year-old man injured in a crash in Smith’s earlier this month has been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment.

The collision — involving a motorcycle and a truck — happened on Harrington Sound Road, near Odyssey Drive, at around 11pm on Friday, May 19.

“Before being transferred overseas, the injured rider had received treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit,” police said in a press release today.

The investigation into the crash continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 247-1788.
