Collision in Warwick: two hurt
A 52-year-old Warwick man injured in a crash last night was recovering in a stable condition on a general ward this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Southampton man also involved in the accident was treated and later discharged from the hospital.
According to a police spokesman, the two motorcyclists collided while heading in opposite directions on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Longford Road at about 9.20pm.
“The two riders involved, believed to be a 52-year-old Warwick man and a 29-year-old Southampton man, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment,” he said.
“?At last check Sunday afternoon, the older man was recovering in stable condition on a general ward while the younger man had been treated and later discharged.”
Traffic was diverted while police processed the scene. Both motorcycles were impounded and inquiries continue.
