A 48-year-old woman was injured this evening after a crash in Southampton.

According to a police spokesman, at about 8.10pm police responded to a report of a collision near Jew’s Bay.

“It appears that a 48-year-old woman was travelling west on Middle Road when she lost control of the vehicle and collided with a wall,” the spokesman said.

“She was helped out of the car and taken via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where she is being treated for injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.”
