The Corporation of Hamilton’s offices and works depot will close at noon on Monday so that staff can attend the funeral of their colleague Collins Smith.

Both the E.F. Gordon and union car parks will also be closed to the public all day due to the funeral and wake arrangements.

The evening shift of the sanitation team will begin at 6pm, and the offices and works depot will resume full services on Tuesday. Mr Smith, 52, was killed after crashing his motorcycle on Blackwatch Pass last Friday evening.
