Family Centre has announced it is holding its annual Beach Bash at the Fairmont Southampton Ocean Club beach this year.

The fundraising event is due to take place on Friday, September 8 at 7pm and will give the community the opportunity to come together for entertainment, while keeping the sole focus and purpose of the event in support of Bermuda’s children. Family Centre executive director Martha Dismont said: “Without the generous support of community partnerships and sponsors, this event could never take place. The support of our title sponsor, Mike Collins, has helped us to make sure this is a very special event. We are also quite pleased to welcome our good friend Mr Stedman Graham as our special guest, who is visiting the island during that week.”

Guests will be offered a complimentary welcome signature drink from Gosling’s or a complimentary Ashley’s Lemonade as well as a barbecue.

The event aims to highlight Bermuda’s local talent, showcasing music from The Simons Brothers, Warwick Academy Primary Choir, Go Down Berries One SOULution and Working Title.

There will be a raffle draw with prizes including a one-night stay in an Ocean View Room at Coral Beach and Tennis Club, including breakfast and afternoon tea and a necklace from Diamond’s International Bermuda.

Raffle tickets are available in advance and guests do not need to be present to win.

More than 60 silent auction items will also be available for bidding, including travel, adventure, jewellery and more.

The MC for the evening will be Patrina O’Connor and guests are encouraged to come in their brightest white attire for the White Party theme.

Tickets are $250 each and the event is the charity’s largest fundraiser of the year.
