A car crashed on Middle Road, Devonshire, yesterday evening.

The vehicle was badly damaged in the accident, which happened near to Chaingate Hill, although it is understood nobody suffered any life-threatening injuries.

The incident is thought to have happened shortly before 7pm and police were at the scene for at least two hours.

It comes less than three weeks after motorcyclist Omari Symonds, 22, was killed in a crash on the same stretch of road.
