Public service workers were given an update on the Bermuda Industrial Union’s wage negotiations with the Bermuda Government yesterday.
Between 400 and 500 workers attended the BIU general meeting at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hamilton yesterday.
Afterwards, BIU president Chris Furbert told The Royal Gazette: “The membership made some decisions.
“Now I will go back and arrange a meeting with the Government to communicate those
decisions to them.”
Mr Furbert said he could not provide any more detail on the decisions taken during the meeting.
But asked if he was satisfied with the outcome of the membership meeting, he said: “Yes, I am satisfied.”
