Drivers are being asked to use caution in Hamilton after an oil leak on the western side of the city.
The City of Hamilton said oil was spilt on Par-la-Ville Road, Woodlands Road and the western end of Front Street and other areas were blocked off to traffic as clean-up efforts continued yesterday.
A city spokeswoman said: “The city has taken immediate action to minimise the hazardous effects of the leak, but does ask the public to be mindful and use caution when travelling through the affected areas. The southbound lane between Serpentine Road roundabout and Church Street were blocked off due to the clean-up and city staff were at the roundabout redirecting traffic.”
