Bike race on St David’s roads on Sunday
Traffic will be restricted while the Bermuda Bicycle Association holds a criterium race.
The race will take place on Sunday, between 8am and 11.45am in St David’s. It will start on Southside Road, and include Pepper Hall Road and Tommy Fox Road before returning to Southside Road.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Public Works, the speed limit on the race route will be raised to 75km/hr to accommodate the speeds of the cyclists.
The roads will be closed during the race but access will be allowed for emergency vehicles and business owners under the direction of police, race officials’ and marshals.
Motorists are advised to use caution and to give priority to cyclists, and follow directions from police and race officials.
Parking restrictions will be in place, and motorists are permitted to park in designated parking bays along the race route.
