Animals blessed at ceremony

Dogs large and small, old and young, were blessed in the spirit of St Francis of Assisi at a ceremony on Sunday.
The Annual Blessing of Animals was held in the Unfinished Church in St George’s.
The service was conducted by the Reverend John Stow of Holy Trinity Church and the Reverend Tom Slawson of St Peter’s Church.
Musician Shine Hayward led the singing together with Mr Stow on his guitar.
