The Bermuda Under-17 women’s football team were celebrated on the grounds of Cabinet this afternoon in the wake of their historic feat of qualifying for the Concacaf Under-17 Women’s Championship in Nicaragua in April.
The youngsters, who finished second in the Caribbean qualifier in Haiti, returned to the island to a heroes’ welcome on Monday night when they were met at LF Wade International by several hundred wellwishers, including David Burt, the Premier.
Today their motorcade began at the Clyde Best Centre of Excellence in Prospect and made its way through Hamilton before arriving at Cabinet where the squad again met the Premier, and were presented with certificates of achievement.
