Tourism summit to take place
Bermuda’s annual tourism summit is scheduled for later this month.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Create, Engage and Convert” aimed at how the island can promote itself online, sell Bermuda to potential tourists and how these are converted into visitors.
TripAdvisor, Google, Simpleview, Destination Think! and Tourism Economics are among the international organisations who will send experts to update island tourism on global trends and viable solutions for Bermuda.
Island tourism specialists taking part include Bermuda Tourism Authority CEO Kevin Dallas, Economic Development and Tourism Minister Jamahl Simmons and Bermuda Tourism Authority board of directors vice-chairman Jessica Mello.
The 2017 summit is designed to prepare the industry for the 2018 calendar year of tourism business and set the scene for productive partnerships.
The summit will take place on Wednesday, November 15 at the Hamilton Princess between 8am and 6pm.
Advance registration for tickets, which cost $40, is required.
The registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, refreshments and a networking cocktail reception
Registration and payment can be done online at the Bermuda Tourism Authority website.
The deadline for registration is Monday, November 13, 2017.
