A Christmas Day lunch will be offered by Hamilton’s Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The church’s youth centre on King Street will host the meal from noon until 3pm on Christmas Day, for those who may not be able to afford a Christmas meal.

The meal, the seventh of its kind, will be put on with assistance from reinsurance firm Global Atlantic Re Ltd and will include roast turkey with trimmings as well as vegetarian options.

Senior pastor Sydney Gibbons said around 200 people have attended in the past and the lunch grows from year to year.

Volunteers, including Global Atlantic Re staff, will help serve the meals.
