The Bermuda Sloop Foundation and the Spirit of Bermuda have won the Tall Ships America Sail Training Programme of the Year 2017 award.

A spokeswoman said: “The directors and staff of the Bermuda Sloop Foundation are delighted to announce that the Bermuda Sloop Foundation and Spirit of Bermuda won the prestigious Tall Ships America Programme of the Year Award for 2017.

“Chairman David Goodwin and captain Mike Moreland were on hand in New Orleans at the annual conference to accept the award.”
