A baby boy was found dead at a Pembroke home this evening, police said.

A spokesman said emergency services were alerted to an “unresponsive” infant at a house in Swansbay Hill about 4.30pm.

The child, believed to be a three month old boy, was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Police said that no further information would be released until next of kin had been informed.
