Praying for hope and peace

Church leaders are planning a 24-hour prayer session to promote unity in the community.

The Community 24-Hour Prayer Room is being organised by Restoration House Ministries International and the Anglican Church of Bermuda.

It will take place at the Cathedral Hall on Church Street on Saturday, from 12.01am to 11.59pm.

Organisers said in a press release: “Last year’s event was a blessing that saw people from all walks of life come by throughout the day to pray individually and collectively.

“This year we will have included a child-centred prayer area and we are also pleased that four of our local schools have submitted prayer requests on behalf of our children thus far.

“We welcome you to join us as we pray for the needs of this island and its people.

“Our goal is to have fervent prayers of hope and peace taking place non-stop for the entire 24 hours.

“There is strength in numbers, power in prayer and hope in unity. Join us as we lift our country up to God.”

New International Deliverance Centre in Basseterre, St Kitts, will join the initiative by hosting its own Community Prayer Room at the same time.
